ParticipantHe needs to be gone. Shanahan also should be handed his walking papers, but sadly that won’t happen.
Plenty of teams are in need of a starting QB. It’s unfortunate that Jimmy isn’t a good one. The return he gets the 49ers will almost certainly not yield a lot. The longer he played the worse he looked. The Patriots made out like bandits by allowing him to hardly see the field.

ParticipantNope can’t see any team out there thinking they need to target Jimmy to solve their problems. Maybe a temporary fit for a crappy team with a young QB waiting in the wings?
The Texans maybe? Their GM used to be on the Pats.

ParticipantI could see the hoodie picking him up cheap as a backup but only if we cut him.

ParticipantI’m not sure there’s any landing spots for Jimmy, to be honest. He’s known to have a throwing hand injury that likely needs surgery. He’s got a $25M plus cap hit if traded on his current contract. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we can get anything for him instead of just having to cut him outright.
