By now we’ve all heard about the mess with Aaron and his “immunized” status. That word doesn’t mean what he thinks it means. Anyway, just to clarify: the issue is not that Aaron was unvaccinated; the NFL allows that and has rules for it. The issue is that AARON LIED TO HIS EMPLOYERS to avoid following the rules for unvaccinated players, plus he’s on video ignoring the rules even for vaccinated players. It’s a classic “The rules don’t apply to me” attitude scenario, and for most of us outside the NFL, if we did that we’d be justly fired on the spot. At least one sponsor has already dumped Aaron, and don’t be surprised if this mess ends up spanning the rest of the season. I’d pay to be able to hear the talk in the Packers locker room right now.

He’s approaching Favre in terms of drama Queen status. If he did lie and sounds like he did, he should be suspended the rest of the season by the NFL.

Rumor has it the NFL is thinking about fining him and not suspending him. If they don’t suspend him, they might as well not punish him at all. Failing to hit Aaron harshly will cost the NFL dearly in terms of its credibility on COVID issues. “Oh, you punished those guys but since it’s your dear white star QB he gets a pass. OK, we see how it is…”

Norty we all know Goddell is a joke. Would you expect anything less?

Aside from the Covid stuff which I agree with Rodgers some of the rules around it are BS, there should be no tolerance for lying to an employer.

HIPPA rights…..anyone ever heard of them? They should be constitutional.

My employer wants to know if I’m vaccinated. I can tell him yes I am or no I’m not or It’s none of your business. It should never be grounds for dismissal especially now that we see that more and more vaccinated people are coming down with it. It’s may understanding that everyone in the NFL is being tested daily. I also understand that he told the NFL/Fudgepackers that he was immunized. He never stated that he was vaccinated. Semantics..sure but that’s probably why he chose his words wisely.

I talked to a doctor recently and we discussed the issue.
She had it back in February and doesn’t feel a need to worry about getting the jab because she believes her body’s natural abilities will protect her from getting it bad. She’s young and very healthy.

At this point in the game this shouldn’t be a have too….it should be an option.

It wouldn’t surprise me one bit to see Aaron in a Niner uni next year. And he might just act like a mentor to Trey knowing that he’s only in it for a year or 2. Sleeping in your own bed is a huge deal once you get older.

Agree RB the vaccine shaming is out of hand. The left is just trying to bully people into submission at this point on all of this nonsense. Individual sovereignty trumps the collective any day of the week and twice on Sundays. And I’m sick of hearing these arguments that if someone is not vaccinated they are somehow putting someone else’s life in danger. It’s a stretch putting it mildly.

I was only saying if and only if Rodgers lied he should be suspended. The left wing media is castrating the guy right now and kudos to him for sticking to his guns. Some day this madness will end. And I’m vaccinated but haven’t had a booster yet. At this point I’m not sure I will get one. But I’m sure Biden and his cronies will enforce boosters somehow and this will go on for years after Joe kicks the bucket.

First off, there’s no such thing as HIPPA. It’s HIPAA.

Second, HIPAA only applies to “covered entities” which means health care providers and their contacts such as insurance companies. HIPAA’s basic function, in simple terms, is to prevent those “covered entities” from trading your health care information like a commodity. Which is why you have to sign information consent forms when your primary doctor refers you to a specialist, among other things.

HIPAA does NOT apply to your employer or a restaurant or whatever asking your vaccination status, nor does it protect you from any consequences of not complying with their policy.

As people in my shipyard are finding out right now; Monday was the deadline for people to have gotten their first shots IAW the Federal employee mandate, and many didn’t. You can fuck around with a lot of people, but don’t fuck around with Uncle Sam; he might be pure lard inside, but he’s got a foot of armor in front.

As for privacy in general, I would love to see the USA adopt the EU’s standards on privacy issues, especially data privacy. They ain’t fuckin’ around over there.

    We’ll agree to disagree Norty.

I got my nose fixed last year without getting the jab.

As I sit here today I have an angiogram scheduled for Friday. That will determine if I get prostate surgery or I need a heart procedure first.

I got the J&J jab a few weeks ago, the prospect of spending any more time in the hospital without having a vaccine onboard was not worth the risk.

Depending on how it shakes out I might just run out my disability and retire.
    We’ll see what happens.

Best of luck with your health issues and retirement. These days, as fucked up as everything is, if anyone has the option to retire, I say do it. The country might not be around much longer to enjoy it otherwise.

Private businesses should have the right to require vaccinations but should also have the right not to require them. I’m glad to see courts holding up Biden’s mandate, for now at least. I’m fully vaccinated and will probably get a booster by the way. I think the thing I hate the most things is all of the shaming and bullying going on.

And yes lots of people have retired since Covid, contributing to the labor shortage. I think a lot of people are realizing through all of this that life is short. And it’s getting really difficult to have an optimistic view of this country going into the future.

That’s good advice Norty…as soon as the surgery/ies get done I want to refinance the house to lower the payment to a ridiculous amount. That will give me more wiggle room. Planned on working part time too. We’ll see.

The woke mob of mouth breathers has been unsuccessful so far in cancelling and castrating/crucifying Rodgers. They’re still trying. Hang in there Aaron.
