49ers sign former Las Vegas DT Maurice Hurst Jr.

According to DT Mauruce Hurst Jr. and his Twitter account, the former fifth-round pick of the Las Vegas Raiders has signed a free agent contract with the San Francisco 49ers.

The Raiders drafted Hurst out of Michigan in 2018 and since then he has been what you might expect from a fifth-round selection. Since coming into the NFL Hurst has 76 tackles, eight sacks, seven passes defensed, one interception and a forced fumble.

He will add depth along the defensive line as the 49ers continue to solidify the unit with just one week left before the 2021 NFL Draft next Thursday.
